Minneapolis, Minn. – June 18, 2019– Samsung Electronics America, Inc. will feature a broad range of new hospitality innovations at HITEC 2019 to showcase how Samsung technology elevates the guest experience. Offering a hotel-like setting, Samsung’s booth will include the latest QLED and UHD hospitality televisions, indoor and outdoor digital signage and updated interfaces and content management systems. The Samsung Hotel (Booth #2326) will be open at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Minneapolis, Minn. from June 18-19, 2019.

At HITEC, Samsung will unveil its latest displays optimized for the hospitality industry: the HRQ750 and HRU750 Series. The HRQ750 hospitality television series leverages Quantum Dot Technology to display true-to-life colors and rich images. Guests will easily view even the finest details with Direct Full Array 4K for improved viewing. With ambient mode, the HRQ750 Series will enhance any room, even when the screen is turned off. When the display is not active, users can select from décor, information or artwork settings to shift between interactive and colorful backgrounds, a range of beautiful pieces and details such as the time and date. The new HRQ750 is slated to launch globally later this year.
The new HRU750 display features UHD upscaling technology HDR10+ picture refinement, all in a slim, modern design. All Samsung HRU750 hospitality displays also provide an intuitive customizable home application and Samsung’s Smart Hub offers guests easy access to a variety of custom content. Samsung SMART displays also allow users to control lighting, drapes and temperature settings in guest rooms utilizing the HMS system. In addition, Samsung’s HMS solution gives hotel operators insights into occupancy and energy usage. The new HRU750 will launch globally later this year.

Lobby Experience
The lobby will showcase how hotels can leverage digital displays to enhance guests first impression of the space and add an extra dimension to the atmosphere. Samsung IF Series displays in fine pixel pitches P1.2 and P1.5 leverage LED HDR scene adaptation technology to feature detailed and realistic visuals. Samsung QLED 8K Signage equipped with AI-upscaling technology produces lifelike images and provides immersive viewing experiences in true-to-life colors. Its slim design, at less than 40mm deep, provides hassle-free installation and, with Samsung’s advanced optical technology, the screen blends into nearly any environment. JBL Control 25 professional-grade speakers, built to complement a variety of décors with their contemporary high-design look, will also be showcased in the lobby area.
Meeting Room Collaboration
The Samsung Flip digital flipcharts will be on display in the meeting room in both 55- and 65-inches. The Flip is designed to drive greater collaboration and expand presentation capabilities, making it ideal for all types of meetings, from training to group brainstorming. The UHD display supports up to four simultaneous writers so teams can work together with ease in any location. For a seamless room reservation process, hoteliers and guests can leverage the AMX AcendoBook Touchpanel that integrates directly with platforms like Office 365 and Google Calendar. Interface background color and built-in room availability bars shift between red and green to depict room availability, so users can easily locate and book an available room directly from the panel.
Guestroom Accommodations
In addition to the new HRQ750 and HRU750 Series, the guestroom also features the next generation of the LYNK HMS, the sleeker, faster and more powerful LYNK HMS 3.0. Leveraging the benefits of Tizen 5.0 paired with Telkonet’s Ecosmart devices for in-room control, LYNK HMS 3.0 allows guests to use the Room Control app to power the lights on and off, control the thermostat and drapery or activate the ‘do-not-disturb’ sign. The three-part solution also streamlines operations with room management and can reduce costs while improving energy efficiency. Also in the guestroom section is the Harman Kardon Enchant Series soundbars featuring Multibeam, a technology that delivers incredible surround sound without extra speakers or wires. Guests can experience deep bass without the need of an additional subwoofer. Compatible with the Samsung HMS solution, Harman Voice Control allows the guest to adjust room settings simply by speaking commands.
Outdoor Enhancements
The outdoor area will demonstrate how the Samsung OHF Outdoor Series can be utilized in hospitality environments. It is conveniently and easily installed, designed and operated with a thin, all-in-one solution, which allows hoteliers to upgrade their space without hassle. With excellent visibility under direct sunlight through 2,500-nit high brightness and anti-reflection glass, the OHF Series displays optimally convey messaging to virtually any viewer in any location. The highly weather resistant JBL Control 88M Landscape Speakers are designed for outdoor applications and provide full-range sound quality with 360-degree coverage. The speakers can be mounted on or in the ground and their tough polyethylene enclosure resists any damage from lawn care equipment and the elements.
Wireless Integration
Wireless access points are installed throughout the booth to showcase the safe and secure Wi-Fi built for hospitality and other high-density environments. With total property coverage, PMS integration and seamless roaming, guests will enjoy a secure connection during the entirety of their stay.
